I am a word nymphet & this is my digital diary.
“A tale begun in other days,
When summer suns were glowing –
A simple chime, that served to time
The rhythm of your rowing –
Whose echoes live in memory yet,
Though envious years would say ‘forget.”
– Lewis Carroll
This relationship with words began with ‘The Hare & the Tortoise’ & several Grimm’s fairy tales later I knew that my series of love affairs with words have begun. What started with books, extended to songs & movies. And why not? One of my favorite writers Imtiaz Ali once said, “Movies are the literature of our times.” I would like to add TV shows also here.
This blog is just a virtual archive of the words that I like. And what better day to start it than August 18, Birthday of Gulzar Saab.
